CPU Ministries operates as an offshoot of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, in service of their mission to respond to the needs of people in the community. CPU Ministries was a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher until the end of the program in November, 2009.

Since 2005, CPU Ministries has received 1,600 computers from local private high schools, businesses, hospitals, and individuals in the South Florida area. CPU Ministries evaluated those computers, scrapped those that were obsolete, and then upgraded the remaining computers hardware and software to meet current industry standards.

CPU Ministries refurbishes and distributes computers to those who do not have the means to purchase a computer on their own. These computers are intended to facilitate the individual’s need to access information vital to higher education, and employment pursuits. Over 1,000 functional computers have been distributed to individuals and groups in the Palm Beach area, New Orleans, Appalachia, and missions in South Florida, Central America, the Caribbean, and Africa.

Your old computer can help!  As long as your computer's processor speed is above 1Ghz, we will be able to make all the necessary upgrades to provide someone in need with a fast and reliable computer.

Computer donations can be sent to:
